Poor and Desperate Blonde with Brown Roots
Published June 18th, 2007 in Ask Dr. Peroxide
Wazzup mah vanilla heads! Ah yes, the sun is shining, the blondes are out and it’s that time again for another installment of Ask Dr. Peroxide. I know you’ve all been checking back here because I’m the PIMP DADDY and I got all the answers to all your blonde questions! So, of course I don’t want to disappoint my loyal fans. You know I even had to cut my date short with girlfriend #11 tonight just to make tonight’s posting?
Alright, enough with the chatter. Lets dip into this week’s mailbag:
Question:
I went to a hair place a few months ago and wanted my hair highlighted instead he gave me an all over blonde look! Now, my roots have grown and I hate this look, but cannot afford to go back since he charged me $175 to begin with. Is there a way to put some brown streaks back in and looking more natural with my brown roots without totally screwing it up and costing a fortune? Please any suggestions?

Answer:
OMG! He gave you an all over blonde look? Sha-weet! That hairdresser is da man, high-five! I hope you gave him an extra big tip for making such a great decision on your behalf. Hey, your hairdresser wouldn’t have happened to my cousin George would it? Hmmm, nah wait a minute, it couldn’t have been him because he would have never charged you that enormous fee. Making the world a BLONDER place is always free in the Peroxide family! In fact, you should have really just come down to my lab, I would have blonded you up for FREE. Just dunk your hair into my giant vat of peroxide and everything would be peachy keen.
Anyways back to your problem, Poor and Desperate Blonde with Brown Roots (Can we just call you ‘BlackHoles’ for short?). Before I tell you what to do, I must emphasize what you SHOULDN’T do. Under no circumstances should you put any brown dye back in! Why would you want to ruin the beautiful blonde with some crummy darkness??
Okay, so don’t panic yet BlackHoles, here is what to do. Get some really cheap face powder, you know, the cheap stuff at the drugstore, and take the powder and just dust it all over your dark roots. It will completely cover them up!
Better yet, with your budget constraints in mind, why not use something already around the house? You know that big box of white powder-cake donuts in your cupboard that you were going to gobble up in one sitting? Ya well, instead of eating the whole god-damned box, try rubbing them all over those evil dark roots of yours. Presto! No more brown roots and not a penny out of your pocket. An added bonus is that if you’re getting a sugar-craving during the day, you got instant access to the good stuff baby! Best of luck, donut head.
There ya go, no need to panic when the good Doctor is here!
Till next time folks, peace out!
