After watching the ‘Victoria Beckham Comes to America’ special the other night, I found it quite amusing, although many other critics would disagree. Truthfully, I didn’t really know much about Posh except that she was some darkhead with a hot body who used to be one of the Spice Girls. Now that she’s a super blonde, it peaked my interested enough to actually tune in and watch.

Besides seeing her new hair, we finally got a better look into how Victoria Beckham really is. Most American television show producers love to apply the “dumb blonde” angle to their reality shows. Just look at the Simple Life and Newly Weds did for Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson respectively. Fortunately for them, Posh fit right into that role for this show.

Besides her admittedly quite ‘ditsy’ moments, such as only wanting to go out in public in heels and totally failing the earthquake test, I found her quite funny and sarcastic. She made a much better interview than Paris Hilton could at least and was also able to take a joke as she did when meeting up Perez Hilton. She was even able to poke a little fun at herself by stating on camera: “How could anyone think I was a plastic doll?” while obviously stating it in a sarcastic tone of voice with the accompanying facial expression.

All in all, I kind of enjoyed the show. Who cares if she is another rich snobby fashion whore wants to wear high-heels all the time? She looks frigging hot in them at least. Oh yeah, and she also does a pretty mean Donald Duck impression. Pretty funny, but not as good as me though ;).
