Paris: Jail Was No Hilton

Paris Hilton interview on CNN’s Larry King Live

Paris Hilton was locked up for 23 days in a tiny jail cell that was a far cry from her customary five-star Hilton hotel accommodations. If you missed Paris Hilton’s exclusive first interview since being released from jail on CNN last night, don’t worry; you didn’t miss much. The interview was conducted on the Larry King Live Show and went on for the entire excruciating hour. You have to commend Larry for being able to stick that long through the interview, as it was probably 55 minutes longer than it should have been.

In what was a pretty vanilla (just like Paris’ hair) interview, she basically revealed how much jail sucked and the food was awful. Nothing we couldn’t have already figured out ourselves. If you were tuning in for some juicy details, like how she her cell mates treated her or how unfair she felt the sentence was, you were left kind of disappointed. The most interesting part of the interview was that the mystery “medical condition” she was originally released for was in fact claustrophobia, making her the first to be released from jail on such a condition. Talk about preferential blonde treatment!

Larry King also tried to bait Paris into talking smack about Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears but she wasn’t biting. She gave very politically correct answers about how sweet they were and how everyone has problems to deal with. BORING! Probably the only real highlight was towards the end of the interview. She had admitted to Larry how she was reading the bible everyday in jail but when he asked what her favorite passage was, she stumbled and couldn’t come up with an answer.

So what has Paris learned during her time behind bars? Well apparently she kept herself in check by telling herself: “Don’t serve the time, let the time serve you,” repeating one of the oldest prison cliches ever. Yeah, that Paris, she’s hardcore now. Watch out.

Not to mention how she lied about taking drugs. Alcohol is a drug too FYI.
