There seems to be a new fad amongst the Hollywood Socialites these days: Spending time in jail. Just recently Paris Hilton was released from jail and then her partner in crime Nicole Richie gets sentenced. Now we see Lindsay Lohan follow suit by being arrested and potentially spending 6 months in jail. It must be some new kind of street creditable for these celebrities to say they have spent some quality time in the slammer. I guess you’re just not “Hollywood” until you’ve got your very own flattering mug shot and wear the fashionable orange jumpsuit.

Man, these badass blondes are totally rushing to get arrested here. So lets have a little fun and try to jump the gun, line up some potential candidates and predict who will be next. It provides a perfect segway to this month’s poll question: Who will be the next celebrity blonde to spend some time behind bars?

The Candiates

Britney Spears

Reason Why: I actually kind of shocked that this girl HASN’T been in jail yet with her long list of offenses. Some of the more infamous include: driving with the child in the front seat; attacking the paparazzi with an umbrella; public indecency; and lets not forget perhaps the greatest crime of them all - marrying Kevin Federline.

Odds: Very Likely. This trainwreck is going downhill so fast that a trip to the slammer will be the only thing that stops her. Although since she is a MOM, perhaps we can come to an alternate arrangement. How about being forced to listen to K-Fed’s entire album as punishment? She did PAY for it after all.

Jessica Simpson

Reason Why: This girl might be slowly on the verge of a meltdown. After her break-up with Nick, her career seems to have headed in a downward spiral which included the failed experiment of being a brunette. She was recently offered a movie role to play a PORN STAR and I’m sure she would have accepted if good-ole Daddy Simpson hadn’t declined on her behalf.

Odds: Likely. I think the desperation has started to set in. Pretty soon she’ll be having to BE a Porn star with the way things are going, and if that’s the case, an arrest is surely to follow.

Beyonce Knowles

Reason Why: You might believe that having an ass as big as Beyonce’s might be a criminal offense, but unfortunately for us, it is not. So the real reason she is a candidate is she might be one step away from waging an attack on her rival - Rihanna. Beyonce is sure to be slightly jealous of the much smaller, younger and more petite Rihanna, who also happens to be hanging out with her man JayZ a lot.

Odds: Possibly. As much as she won’t publically admit it, Beyonce is not a big fan of Rhinna. If she ever gets some alone time with her, she might sit on top of her and be charged for assault with a weapon.

Hillary Duff

Reason Why: Hillary Duff? This inclusion might shock you as this pop tart seems like the biggest angel around. But not so fast! It was recently reported that she rejected a couple of 9 year old fans who had come to her to get an autograph in a restaurant. She just left the poor girls in tears. HA. So maybe Hillary does have a mean streak after all?

Odds: Not Likely. This one might be a long shot, but who knows, maybe this last incident is just the beginning of more bad behavior. Next thing you know, she’ll be partying it up with Paris and Britney.
