Sunsilk’s Color Showdown pits brunettes vs blondes.
Well, well, I’ve noticed quite a few blog postings about the Sunsilk Colour Showdown website and I’ve had a few hater darkheads directing me to the point counter on the site, so I’ve decided to put together a blondelicious article on the matter. The site basically tries to ignite the age old question, what is better - blondes or brunettes? Yes folks, this one is for all the marbles. The Blondes vs The Brunettes. The Lightheads vs The Darkheads. The Vanilla heads vs The Chocolate heads. The Sexy vs The Not. Who will come out on top?
About the site
While quite a novel idea, the site is basically a marketing campaign for Sunsilk’s hair products but one that I thought was quite engaging and humorous at the same time. The image at the top of this article shows a screenshot of the splash page of the site. If you look closely at the images around the figures, you can see that the brunette side includes books and wine glasses, while on the blonde side it shows cell phones and martini glasses. I guess they are trying to imply that brunettes are nerdy sophisticated types and blondes are social party animals?
After the flash intro, you pick which side you are on and immediately start earning points for your team just by viewing different parts of the website. You can also earn extra points for your team by playing games, watching videos or taking quizzes. I believe they also ran some TV commercials promoting the site with blondes and darkheads slinging mud and jokes at each other.

Which would you click? Neither.
Trash talking aside, they also ran some tests on blondes and brunette behaviors and which men preferred. Although a very small sample size, one of the studies revealed that darkheads were more likely to wear granny panties (ew)! Also, they did a test on a dating site where the same girl posed as a brunette and a blonde to find out which profile got the most attention from guys. It goes without saying that the blonde profile was the winner.

‘Whack a Brunette’ will keep you entertained for hours.
The site has a whole bunch of stuff you can download such as MySpace graphics, instant messenger icons and wallpaper backgrounds. Each one you download also adds to the point total. However, the real point earnings are in the games.

The game selection include: ‘Showdown Throwdown’ which is a fighting game knockoff, ‘Whack a brunette’ a whack-a-mole game and this creepy quiz game where this nerdy guy strips if you get the answers right.
The best part of the games is that they were made 100% blonde-proof. There is very little learning curve and most just involve simple mouse clicks to play. If you win the game, you will earn 25 points for your team total. So go head and super slap that darkhead tramp!

The site was launched about three months ago and as of June 16, the score for brunettes is nearly 1 million more than the blondes. Bitter chocolate heads will continually point this out to me. Could this possibly be proof that darkheads are better?! 
Nah, i mean you earn points for clicking around the site. Don’t you think blondes have better things to do like go out on dates while the darkheads sit at home and click around the site in anger?

If someone has bad bone structure; face and body wise, then it doesnt matter what their eye,skin, or hair color is. They are going to look bad. If someone has good bone structure, it doesnt matter what their color is, they will be beautiful regardless. If we take a beautiful person, make them blonde, then brunette, and then compare, well there is nothing to compare. Sometimes I wear yellow, sometimes I wear brown, sometimes I wear white or gray or blue! I can care less what your hair color is as long as it looks good on you! Neither is better! I am an all natural blonde and sometimes I am jealous of brunettes because their hair is so low maintenance! My hair is fine and soft and it never stays in place! On the other hand I embrace my hair color and use it to enhance my features! I love being blonde, but I will never let my hair color define me. Blondes for centuries have been idolized. I am a natural blonde with a PhD in psychology. To be blonde isn’t always fun as men are always after me. I agree most men prefer blondes and that is a known fact. If you look at most successful and powerful men, they are married to blondes.
My twin sister is equally beautiful yet she does not get the attention from the opposite sex as I do. She admits that many dark-headed women are jealous and try to emulate blondes. A girl looks good when her hair color matches her eyes and her whole physique and personalty. All blondes, brunettes and red heds look amazingly gorgeous (respect) but it totally depends on the guy, the worth of a girl is dependant on her attitude and personality, and sometimes there eyes reflected that, which in turn reflects your hair color.
Blondes usually have bright eye colors (blue, green) while red heads have more deep colors (green, amber, hazel) while brunettes or even blakcs have (hazel, green, black) That was just extran sorry
At the last place I worked, I sat next to a very pretty blonde woman. I acknowledged from the beginning that she was pretty to my co-workers. She was also a very nice and intuitive person. The guy who was responsible for IT support was crazy about her…hung around her…doted on her…just about hung himself on her. It was cute to watch. I am a very attractive brunette; it did not bother me that he preferred talking to her. AND…
one of the very handsome doctors there would walk by me at night and groove on me. He eyeballed me and raised his eyebrows suggestively; liked looking at me. He seemed to prefer me to any other female there…even the blondes.
The point is…be happy for someone if they garner a lot of attention…no matter the hair color. I think it is foolish to get caught up in it.
There are a lot less blondes than brunettes; that could be part of the “male” thing. Having hair the color of the sun is definitely appealing, but honestly, read up on men’s opinions about it. A sexy confident dark-haired woman wins hands-down. Look at Sophia Loren, Raquel Welch, Natalie Wood (in our memory), Audrey Hepburn (memory), any great Italian star like Gina Lollabrigida…and more contemporary stars like Penelope Cruz and Catherine Zeta Jones…the men love mysterious and seductive dark haired beauties, hands-down, over any beautiful blonde.
